Kristen Perkins, CEO and Co-Founder of InclYOUsion Sports, joins The Youth Sports Parenting Tribe to share her heartfelt journey from frustrated parent to innovator in inclusive youth programming. As a mother who couldn't find sports options tailored to her children's unique needs, Kristen discusses creating adaptive programs that build confidence and belonging for all kids, the importance of individualized coaching in fostering resilience, navigating the challenges of diverse athletic abilities in team settings, empowering sports parents to advocate for inclusion, and scaling community impact through scalable, family-centered sports solutions.
Kristen Perkins is the CEO and Co-Founder of InclYOUsion Sports, a Massachusetts-based organization revolutionizing youth sports by offering inclusive, multi-sport programs designed for children with diverse abilities and needs. Frustrated by the lack of adaptive options for her own kids, Kristen and her husband Greg launched the first seasonal program in Danvers, MA, in 2021, which quickly sold out and drew families from over 20 towns. By Winter 2022, demand surged, leading to a waitlist and program expansion across the state. InclYOUsion Sports emphasizes hands-on, individualized coaching that promotes confidence, social skills, and physical development in a fun, supportive environment, serving hundreds of kids annually. A Lyme, NH native who returned to raise her family, Kristen balances her leadership role with her passion for community impact, drawing from her experiences as a dedicated sports parent to bridge gaps in traditional youth athletics.
